Pancreatic heterotopia is defined as pancreatic tissue outside the boundary of pancreas that lacks an anatomic and vascular connection to it. Till today, no case of pancreatic heterotopia along with tubercular ileitis has been reported. We report one such case that presented in our institution.
Coronary-cameral fistula (CCF) is an anomalous connection between a coronary artery and cardiac chamber. Most of CCFs are discovered incidentally during angiographic evaluation for coronary vascular disorder. We report a case of CCF with angina pectoris. Selective coronary arteriography revealed diffuse CCF involving the left anterior descending artery (LAD) emptying into left ventricle (LV) an...
BACKGROUND Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection is a rare congenital vascular disorder that may be asymptomatic. Left-sided connections with the innominate vein are discovered infrequently and those without an atrial septal defect are extremely rare. CASE A 66-year-old male was found to have an anomalous left pulmonary vein when a central venous catheter was inserted for management o...
conclusion pharmacomechanical thrombectomy provides very satisfactory results in a single procedure, as a new method in the treatment of acute and subacute deep vein thrombosis. background in this study, we shared the implementation success and clinical results for 38 patients treated with the cleaner™ pharmacomechanical thrombectomy device. objectives the impact and results of pharmacomechanic...

Small vascular malformations of the brain have been increasingly often recognized in recent years as possible sources of intracranial hemorrhage, especially in young people (1-6). There are many other problems in connection with these lesions. It is the purpose of this paper to illustrate hy means of case studies some of the local results of these malformations and also to discuss the multiple ...
How does the brain compute? Answering this question necessitates neuronal connectomes, annotated graphs of all synaptic connections within defined brain areas. Further, understanding the energetics of the brain's computations requires vascular graphs. The assembly of a connectome requires sensitive hardware tools to measure neuronal and neurovascular features in all three dimensions, as well as...
We present a novel technique for the automatic formation of vascular trees from segmented tubular structures. Our method combines a minimum spanning tree algorithm with a minimization criterion of the Mahalanobis distance. First, a multivariate class of connected junctions is defined using a set of trained vascular trees and their corresponding image volumes. Second, a minimum spanning tree alg...
Hyperfunction of the subclavian-pulmonary artery anastomosis causing pulmonary vascular disease is uncommon. The mechanism for the late development of an overgenerous shunt is usually obscure. We report the case of a 31-year-old patient with Fallot's tetralogy and Marfan's syndrome who had undergone a right Blalock manoeuvre at the age of 5. At necropsy the Blalock anastomosis was widely patent...
Nontarget organ complications are a rare, yet serious side effect of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) procedures. We describe a case of a patient with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma who subsequently developed right-lower-lobar pulmonary infarction approximately three weeks after receiving TACE, owing to an abnormal vascular connection between the superior epigastric artery and the ...
