women’s issues are among basic issues of contemporary society which have been offered different solutions. while the first- wave feminists would insist on the gender equality, the second wave would emphasize that women differ from men. the third wave tried to hold on to both sides of the conundrum: equality and difference. iris marion young is one of the theorists of the third wave of feminism ...

In this article, transverse vibration of a cantilever nano- beam with functionally graded materials and carrying a concentrated mass at the free end is studied. Material properties of FG beam are supposed to vary through thickness direction of the constituents according to power-law distribution (P-FGM). The small scale effect is taken into consideration based on nonlocal elasticity theory of E...

A nonlinear model of two-beam free-electron laser (FEL) in the absence of slippage is presented. The two beams are assumed to be cold with different energies and the fundamental resonance of the higher energy beam is at the third harmonic of lower energy beam. By using Maxwell’s equations and full Lorentz force equations of motion for the electron beams, coupled differential equations are deriv...

this thesis attempts to study the representations of the third-world intellectuals in three fictional works by the british-educated trinidadian nobel-winner v. s. naipaul: the mimic men, a bend in the river, and magic seeds. the first one recounts the story of ralph singh’s sense of alienation, his experiences as a colonial politician, and his struggle to give order to his disorderly world thro...

growing demands and requires of high data rate systems cause significant increase of high frequency systems for wideband communication applications. as mixers are one of the main blocks of each receivers and its performance has great impact on receiver’s performance; in this thesis, a new solution for ku-band (12-18 ghz) mixer design in tsmc 0.18 µm is presented. this mixer has high linearity a...

Third-order differential equations arise in a variety of different areas of applied mathematics and physics, such as the deflection of a curved beam having a constant or varying cross section, three-layer beam, electromagnetic waves, or gravity-driven flows 1 . Recently, thirdorder boundary value problems have been studied extensively in the literature see, e.g., 2– 13 , and their references . ...

In the presented paper, the governing equations of a vibratory beam with moderately large deflection are derived using the first order shear deformation theory. The beam is homogenous, isotropic and it is subjected to the dynamic transverse and axial loads. The kinematic of the problem is according to the Von-Karman strain-displacement relations and the Hook's law is used as the constitutive eq...

Dimensional Reduction is applied to QCD in order to compute various renor-malization constants in the DR scheme at higher orders in perturbation theory. In particular, the β function and the anomalous dimension of the quark masses are derived to three-loop order. Special emphasis is put on the proper treatment of the so-called ε-scalars and the additional couplings which have to be considered.
