The implementation and use of new information technology initiate changes. These changes can be either of a technological nature (and often explicitly known), or of a social nature (usually not as easily identifiable). Nonetheless, both the technological and social factors should be managed. When faced with change, managers should follow an appropriate change strategy. As all changes are not al...
In this paper, we extend the notions of γ-operation introduced in [12], by using the soft ideal notions. We introduce the notions of Ĩ-open soft sets, pre-Ĩopen soft sets, α-Ĩ-open soft sets, semi-Ĩ-open soft sets and β-Ĩ-open soft sets to soft topological spaces. We study the relations between these different types of subsets of soft topological spaces with soft ideal. We also introduce the co...
In this paper, we introduce the concept of soft supra strongly semi∗ generalized closed sets (soft supra strongly semi∗ g-closed for short) in a supra soft topological space (X,μ,E) and study their properties in detail. The relationship between soft supra strongly semi∗ generalized closed sets and other existing soft sets have been investigated. It has been pointed out in this paper that many o...
Soft Systems Methodology is often criticised as lacking rigorous tools. In this paper, an outline of Soft Systems Methodology and Petri Nets is given. Petri Nets are then explored as a formal tool for the description and amalgamation of weltanschauung alternatives at the conceptual modelling stage.
With patient flow simulation models it is not only important to identify visible resources obvious for inclusion in the model, but before this, it is important to fully understand and structure the problem situation, grounding it in the reality of working lives and organizational structure, strategies and professional cultures. In this project we have used soft systems methodology (SSM) at the ...
In the last two decades Soft Sensors established themselves as a valuable alternative to the traditional means for the acquisition of critical process variables, process monitoring and other tasks which are related to process control. This paper discusses characteristics of the process industry data which are critical for the development of data-driven Soft Sensors. These characteristics are co...
Decomposition is a way to reduce complexity. After all a problem split up into manageable parts will be easier to understand than a complex whole problem. It is however a tricky, sometimes even impossible task to reconstitute these parts back to the whole. Within Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) we are advised to think in ‘wholes’. Within the (broader) systems approach the idea of ‘wholes’ relate...
Professional Codes of Ethics serve to embody the commitments made by members of that profession. Such Codes are designed to guide ethical decision-making, yet they provide little assistance in the identification and resolution of ethical dilemmas. In the IS global arena, Codes of Ethics tend to be national in scope, thereby increasing the complexity of international decision-making for IS pract...
In this paper, we introduce the concepts of two generalized soft intersection filters of BL-algebras. Some characterizations of these soft intersection filters are discussed. In particular, the relationships among these soft intersection filters are established. This provides a new soft algebraic tool in many uncertainties problems.
