This paper presents the method to estimate the traffic flow on the urban roadway by using car’s on-dashboard camera image. The system described, shows something new which utilizes only road traffic photo images to get the information about urban roadway traffic flow automatically. This report presents STRUCTVIEW, a vehicle-based system for the measurement of roadway structure profiles, which uses a scanning laser rangefinder to measure various structure and roadway features while traveling at highway speed.
