There are two major centres of genetic diversification of common bean (Phaseolus vilgaris L.), the Mesoamerican and the Andean, and the legume is capable of establishing nitrogen-fixing symbioses with several rhizobia; Rhizobium etli seems to be the dominant species in both centres. Another genetic pool of common bean, in Peru and Ecuador, is receiving increasing attention, and studies of micro...
Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. viciae RCAM1026 is a strain first isolated in 1964 from nodules of "Ramensky 77" cultivar of garden pea (Pisum sativum L.) now routinely used as a model strain in inoculation experiments on pea. Assembly with SPAdes yielded 133 contigs longer then 200 bp (N50 = 202,321, GC% = 60.84). Resulting annotated genome is 7,248,686 bp encoding 6792 genes.
effects of rhizobium– mycorrhizae symbiosis and foliar application of urea on some traits of soybean
in order to investigate the effect of rhizobium bacteria, mycorrhiza fungi and foliar application of urea on qualitative and quantitative traits of soybean an experiment was conducted based on randomized complete block design with four replications. the experiment included six treatments as: control (c), rhizobium bacteria (r), rhizobium bacteria + mycorrhiza fungi (r+m), rhizobium bacteria + f...
to study the effects of nano-zinc oxide and seed inoculation with brady rhizobium and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria on yield and some agronomic traits of soybean, a factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted in 2013 at the research farm of the islamic azad university, ardabil branch. treatments were foliar application of nano-zinc...
The Rhizobium lupini strain HPC(L) was isolated from saline desert soil. It grows on minimal media supplemented with CaCO(3) as a carbon source. It can also grow under both oligotrophic and heteroptrophic conditions. We report the annotated genome sequence of this strain in a 5.27-Mb scaffold.
Eagon, R. G. (University of Georgia, Athens). Bacterial dissimilation of l-fucose and l-rhamnose. J. Bacteriol. 82:548-550. 1961.-Of 33 microorganisms screened for the ability to utilize the methylpentoses, l-fucose and l-rhamnose, 18 species utilized one or both methylpentoses. The majority of the bacterial species capable of utilizing these methylpentoses did so by isomerization of the methyl...
Rhizobium etli type strain CFN42 contains six plasmids. We analyzed the distribution of genetic markers from some of these plasmids in bean-nodulating strains belonging to different species (Rhizobium etli, Rhizobium gallicum, Rhizobium giardinii, Rhizobium leguminosarum, and Sinorhizobium fredii). Our results indicate that independent of geographic origin, R. etli strains usually share not onl...
In order to evaluate the effect of biofertilizers (Rhizobium and mycorrhiza) on yield and qualitative characteristics of Pinto bean under deficit irrigation, an experiment was conducted as split plot based on a randomized complete block design with three replications in 2017. Experimental treatments included irrigation regime with two levels (normal and deficit irrigation) as main plots and bio...
l-2-Haloacid dehalogenase (DehL) from Rhizobium sp. RC1 is a stereospecific enzyme that acts exclusively on l-isomers of 2-chloropropionate and dichloroacetate. The amino acid sequence of this enzyme is substantially different from those of other l-specific dehalogenases produced by other organisms. DehL has not been crystallised, and hence its three-dimensional structure is unavailable. Herein...
