To investigate the influence of structural deformation wheelset and track on rail wear in longitudinal lateral directions, a prediction model is established that can calculate three-dimensional distribution wear. The difference between multi-rigid-body dynamic rigid-flexible coupled model, which considers flexibility track, compared terms results show distributions predicted by two models are r...

Abstract Continuous welded rail (CWR) track has great advantages of low-cost maintenance, environmental influence, and ride comfort. However, the CWR is subjected to longitudinal stresses in rails due temperature influence as well inhomogeneous stress accumulation train loadings. The cause accelerated lateral irregularity that without timely maintenance can buckling. present paper a method stab...

We show how wavelet techniques allow to derive irregularity properties of functions on two particular examples: Lacunary Fourier series and some Gaussian random processes. Then, we work out a general derivation of the multifractal formalism in the sequence setting, and derive some of its properties.

Abstract A singular rail or wheel surface irregularity, such as a squat, insulation joint flat, can cause large wheel-rail impact force. Both the magnitude and frequency content of force need to be correctly modelled because they are closely related formation, deterioration detection irregularities. In this paper, we compare two types commonly used wheel-track interaction models for problems, i...

Italy and Spain, as countries of recent immigration and high irregularity rates, have struggled to adapt their statistical system, especially their population registers, to adequately reflect the presence of an increasing number of immigrants in their territory. The population registers of the two countries have adapted differently to these changing realities: Spain introduced significant impro...

July-August 2012 Imagine you fly home from vacation with your one-and-ahalf-year-old son who is traveling for free as a “lap child.” In the airport parking lot, you put him into his forwardfacing car seat, where he sits much more contentedly than he did in the rear-facing one that was mandatory until his first birthday. After he falls asleep on the way home, you transfer him to his crib without...

A theoretical calculation is made to simulate the effect of drafting upon the sliver irregularity in two-zone drafting of three-over-three roller system. Two types of slivers, i.e., random sliver and optional sliver are considered. The effects of sliver count, staple fiber length, fineness of fiber, draft distribution between two drafting zones, maximal moving distance and distribution type of ...
