In this paper, a kind of impulse radio (IR) 60 GHz pulse based on Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions (PSWF) is proposed. The capacity and performance for multiple access 60 GHz communication system based on carrier pulse and impulse radio pulse are analyzed separately. Both frequency-shifted Gaussian pulse and Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions (PSWF) pulse are considered and devised according to...

In this paper, an effective numerical method is introduced for the treatment of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations. Here, we use the so-called two-dimensional block-pulse functions.First, the two-dimensional block-pulse operational matrix of integration and differentiation has been presented. Then, by using this matrices, the nonlinear two-dimensional Vol...

This article proposes a direct method for solving three types of integral equations with time delay. By using operational matrix of integration, integral equations can be reduced to a linear lower triangular system which can be directly solved by forward substitution. Numerical examples shows that the proposed scheme have a suitable degree of accuracy.

We introduce a noninterferometric single beam method to characterize and compensate the spectral phase of ultrashort femtosecond pulses accurately. The method uses a pulse shaper that scans calibrated phase functions to determine the unknown spectral phase of a pulse. The pulse shaper can then be used to synthesize arbitrary phase femtosecond pulses or it can introduce a compensating spectral p...

In this paper, a numerical scheme based on the three-dimensional block-pulse functions is proposed to solve the three-dimensional fractional Poisson type equations with Neumann boundary conditions. The differential operational matrices of fractional order of the three-dimensional block-pulse functions are derived from one-dimensional block-pulse functions, which are used to reduce the original ...

The four-dimensional Hodgkin–Huxley equations describe the propagation in space and time of the action potential v(z) along a neural axon with z = x+ ct and c being the pulse speed. The potential v(z), which is parameterized by the temperature, is driven by three gating functions, m(z), n(z) and h(z), each of which obeys formal first order kinetics with rate constants that are represented as no...

Magnetic brain stimulation used as a method of psychological interventions in the treatment of diseases. This method functions used in the treatment of clinical disorder such as speech and movement disorders caused by stroke, tinnitus, Parkinson's disease, nervous tics. Applications in the field of psychological therapy, it is possible to stimulate specific brain area involved in certain mental...

Recently, the block-pulse functions (BPFs) are used in solving electromagnetic scattering problem, which are modeled as linear Fredholm integral equations (FIEs) of the second kind. But the theoretical aspect of this method has not fully investigated yet. In this article, in addition to presenting a new approach for solving FIE of the second kind, the theory of both methods is investigated as a...
