Tissue engineering is defined as the designing and engineering of structures to rebuild and repair a body damaged tissue. Scaffolding Poly Hydroxy Butyrate Valrate (PHBV) has shown good biocompatibility and biodegradable properties. Nanofibers have improved the performance of biomaterials, and could be considered effective. One of the important methods for designing nanofiber scaffold is the el...
The main objective of the present study is to assess and improve fermentation conditions produce polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), such as homopolymer poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) copolymer poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV), from renewable inexpensive industrial waste by wild type Cupriavidus necator. Untreated residual glycerol, a byproduct generated biodiesel industry, was used...
Management of chronic diabetic ulcers remains as a major challenge in healthcare which requires extensive multidisciplinary approaches to ensure wound protection, management excess exudates and promoting healing. Developing healing patches that can act protective barrier support is highly needed manage ulcers. In order boost the potential patch material, bioactive agents such growth factors be ...
Abstract This study examines the opportunity of using recycled poly(hydroxybutyrate-co-valerate) (PHBV) as food packaging. The recyclability was evaluated by assessing effect repeated polymer processing (up to four extrusion cycles) on structural and barrier properties material, well its ability produce neo-formed chemicals susceptible migrate into food. It shown that increasing number cycles r...
The present study focuses on the preparation and characterization of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) films that were reinforced with cellulose microstructures to obtain new green composite materials for sustainable food packaging applications. atomization suspensions microfibrillated (MFC) successfully allowed formation ultrathin structures nearly 3 µm were, thereafter, melt...

Haloferax mediterranei, an extremely halophilic archaeon, has shown promise for production of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) from unrelated cheap carbon sources. Here we report the complete genome (3,904,707 bp) of H. mediterranei CGMCC 1.2087, consisting of one chromosome and three megaplasmids.
Eight genomes of avian polyomaviruses (APVs) were recovered and sequenced from deceased Psittacula eupatria, Psittacula krameri, and Melopsittacus undulatus from various breeding facilities in Poland. Of these APV-positive samples, six had previously tested positive for beak and feather disease virus (BFDV) and/or parrot hepatitis B virus (PHBV).
BACKGROUND Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats interference (CRISPRi) has provided an efficient approach for targeted gene inhibition. A non-model microorganism Halomonas species TD01 has been developed as a promising industrial producer of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), a family of biodegradable polyesters accumulated by bacteria as a carbon and energy reserve compound. A c...
