Parallelizing TfC, a state-of-the-art industrial 3d CFD code for execution on both networks of workstations (NOWs) and massively parallel processors (MPPs) is one of the main objectives in the interdisciplinary research project SEMPA3. In this paper, the concept for parallelizing TfC is presented as well as results obtained with a first prototype.

In this paper a multi-product production systems (MPPS) with in-line quality control is examined. The problem of determining the optimal inspection strategy that results in lowest total inspection cost, while assuring required outgoing quality level is modelled discrete-event simulation is used to model the production system. This paper presents rendering algorithms, developed for massively parallel processors (MPPs), for polygonal, spheres, and volumetric data. The polygon algorithm uses a data parallel approach whereas the sphere and volume renderer use a MIMD approach.
