Malignant meningiomas usually bear a high recurrence rate and unfavorable prognosis, and multiple surgical resections are required for the treatment. We report on a case of 51-year-old woman with a histologically benign i...

There are numerous studies on the immune response against malignant human tumors. This study was aimed to address the complexity and specificity of humoral immune response against a benign human tumor. We assembled a panel of 62 meningioma-expressed antigens that show reactivity with serum antibodies of meningioma patients, including 41 previously uncharacterized antigens by screening of a feta...

Fifteen percent of intracranial tumors are represented by meningiomas. Meningioma is usually a benign neoplasm; malignant histology is rare and represents about 2-10% with a 43% incidence of metastasis. The most frequent site of metastasis is the lung and rare are other sites. There are no definitive criteria to predict the recurrence or metastases of meningioma and histological grading, accord...

We report a case of malignant intraventricular meningioma with CSF drop metastases and an implantation metastatic subgaleal nodule in a 53-year-old woman. Malignant intraventricular meningiomas are rare with only seven cases being reported in the literature. These tumours can be very aggressive and one should consider immediate postoperative radiotherapy.
