We present a new technique for showing that inverse limit spaces of certain one-dimensional Markov maps are not homeomorphic. In particular, the inverse limit spaces for the three maps from the tent family having periodic kneading sequence of length five are not homeomorphic.

This paper is a report on the development of a new musical instrument in which the main concept is "Untouchable". The key concept of this instrument is "sound generation by body gesture (both hands)" and "sound generation by kneading with hands". The new composition project had completed as the premiere of a new work “controllable untouchableness” with this new instrument in December 2009.

Gray codes have found many applications in engineering and mathematics. In this work we explain how to apply Gray codes to the determination of the control parameter and initial point of a chaotic orbit generated by the Mandelbrot map when the kneading sequence is known.
