the exergy analysis is a proper method for performance evaluation of industrial systems. a generic and detailed analysis of the gpcss on the second gas pipeline of iran  is made by the means of exergy. the two main improvement measures of fuel pre-heating and steam injection technologies are presented for the current conventional stations. steady state equations regarding the second law of ther...

In the continuous gas lift operation, compressed gas is injected into the lower section of tubing through annulus. The produced liquid flow rate is a function of gas injection rate and injection depth. All the equations to determine depth of injection assumes constant density for gas based on an average temperature of surface and bottomhole that decreases the accuracy of gas lift design. Also g...

The current handling of gas associated with oil production poses an environmental risk. This is being flared off due to the technical and economic attractiveness this option. As gases are mainly composed methane, they have harmful greenhouse effects when released into atmosphere. work discusses effectiveness using for enhanced recovery (EOR) purposes as alternative flaring. In study, a micromod...

Introduction Dense non-aqueous phase liquids (or DNAPLs) are liquids that are water immiscible and at the same time are heavier than water. When a spill occurs, these liquids can migrate into aquifers and become trapped in the pores. Some techniques proved to be efficient for the recovery of DNAPLs from the aquifers. One method is the injection of fluids through injection wells, for example, co...

for technical and economic success of miscible gas injection projects, an accurate laboratory measurement of minimum miscibility pressure (mmp) at reservoir conditions is essential. on the other hand, compositional reservoir simulator is a useful tool in gas injection studies and prediction of mmp. the main goal of this paper is to describe a procedure to generate a three phase sequential type ...

fractional flow analysis confirms the advantages of surfactant alternative gas injection (sag) in enhanced oil recovery, but an adsorption phenomenon that has been affected by several factors, weakens the effectiveness of sag injection. in this study, the effects of sacrificial agent, gas phase, and surfactant concentration on adsorption density on silica mineral were investigated by static and...

Machine learning algorithms are extensively used to reduce the complexity of applied problems in various fields, including energy. Accurate prediction performance water alternating gas (WAG) injection as an enhanced oil recovery (EOR) process is great importance optimal management hydrocarbon resources. In current work, a hybrid mathematical model proposed for near-immiscible WAG process. We us...

In this paper we study mixture of gases, each governed by a gamma law. The system is modeled by the p-system with variable gamma. We use this model to study immiscible gas flow. The main result is that the Cauchy problem with large data is shown to have a solution. We use the Glimm scheme for the proof. The result is illustrated by numerical examples.
