Abstract. The fuzzy set theory has been applied in many fields such as management, engineering etc. In modern management applications ranking using fuzzy numbers are the most important aspect in decision making process. This paper proposes a new method on the incentre of centroids and uses of Euclidean distance to ranking generalized hexagonal fuzzy numbers. We have used a ranking method for or...

The objective of this paper is to deal with the fuzzy conic programming problems. The aim here is to derive weak and strong duality theorems for a general fuzzy conic programming. Toward this end, The convexity-like concept of fuzzy mappings is introduced and then a specific ordering cone is established based on the parameterized representation of fuzzy numbers. Under this setting, duality theo...

This paper is devoted to a class of fuzzy or derings which play a fundamental role in de cision analysis and fuzzy control strongly linear fuzzy weak orderings First we see that any relation of that kind can be decom posed into a crisp linear ordering and a fuzzy equivalence relation As a consequence a general representation theorem follows Fi nally a method for constructing strongly lin ear fu...

This paper presents alternative methods for producing fuzzy models for the fuzzy multiple heuristic ordering technique that we previously introduced for the construction of examination timetables. The effects of altering the rules within the fuzzy inference system were investigated. Four alternative rule 'tuning' approaches are described in detail and their results are presented and compared.

In this paper, we define the various g-inverses of an intuitionistic fuzzy matrices, left (right ) cancelable intuitionistic fuzzy matrices and derive the equivalent condition for the existence of the generalized inverses . We also study the relation between the minus-ordering and the various g–inverses of an intuitionistic fuzzy matrix.

We generalize the solution of a multicriterial optimization problem which has been given in [5]. They have used a comparison of the criterion fuzzy preference relations and the general fuzzy preference relation. Based on this comparison they have constructed the ordering of criteria. Our modification builds on pairwise similarity of criterion related fuzzy preference relations. We illustrate ou...

In most of the commonly used approaches, the ranking of generalized fuzzy numbers is calculated based on the only one criterion i.e., rank criteria. However, there are some weaknesses associated with this criterion. In this paper, we discuss the insufficiency of considering only rank for the ordering of generalized fuzzy numbers. Some shortcomings in existing ranking methods have been pointed o...

We introduce Riesz Logic, whose models are abelian lattice ordered groups, which generalise Riesz spaces (vector lattices), and show soundness and completeness. Our motivation is to provide a logic for distributional semantics of natural language, where words are typically represented as elements of a vector space whose dimensions correspond to contexts in which words may occur. This basis prov...

In fuzzy decision problems, the ordering of fuzzy numbers is the basic problem. The fuzzy preference relation is the reasonable representation of preference relations by a fuzzy membership function. This paper studies Nakamura’s and Kołodziejczyk’s preference relations. Eight cases, each representing different levels of overlap between two triangular fuzzy numbers are considered. We analyze the...

In this paper, we study an equivalence relation on the set of fuzzysubgroups of an arbitrary group G and give four equivalent conditions each ofwhich characterizes this relation. We demonstrate that with this equivalencerelation each equivalence class constitutes a lattice under the ordering of fuzzy setinclusion. Moreover, we study the behavior of these equivalence classes under theaction of a...
