In grassland ecosystems, N and P fertilization often increase plant productivity, but there is no concensus if fertilization affects soil C fractions. We tested effects of N, P and N+P fertilization at 5, 10, 15 g m-2 yr-1 (N5, N10, N15, P5, P10, P15, N5P5, N10P10, and N15P15) compared to unfertilized control on soil C, soil microbial biomass and functional diversity at the 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm...

Background and aims: Sitting on an unfitted chair can cause disorders of musculoskeletal system. In this study we investigated to determine the match of anthropometric dimension with classroom chairs in the students of 3ed and 6th grades primary school and finally offer the best dimension of the classroom chairs. Methods: 572 primary schools students (male and female) were attended in this s...

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between anthropometric variables, body composition and propulsive force in swimmers aged 9-17 years. Anthropometric characteristics (body height and mass, sitting height, arm span, arm muscle area and body composition) and the propulsive force of the arm (tethered swimming test) were evaluated in 56 competitive male swimmers. Tanner's stages...

We investigated the genomic properties of a rotavirus A strain isolated from diarrheic pheasant poults in Hungary in 2015. Sequence analyses revealed a shared genomic constellation (G23-P[37]-I4-R4-C4-M4-A16-N10-T4-E4-H4) and close relationship (range of nucleotide sequence similarity: VP2, 88%; VP1 and NSP4, 98%) with another pheasant rotavirus strain isolated previously in Germany.

This paper presents an anthropometric database of high school and university students from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Forty-one high school participants (21 males and 20 females), 13-17 years old, and 143 university students (74 males and 69 females) took part in the study. Twenty-one static body dimensions were measured. The greatest mean differences in the anthropometric data between male and fe...

Over the past decade, most important observations of interstellar medium have been made in infrared and radio regions electromagnetic radiation. Of particular interest were GLIMPSE (Galactic Legacy Infrared Midplane Survey Extraordinaire), MIPSGAL WISE (Wide-field Explorer) surveys several areas star formation. Distinctive features view Galactic disk at wavelengths from 3.4 μm to 22 include ion...

OBJECTIVES To answer the questions: how does body mass index (BMI) correlate to five overweight related anthropometric variables during different ages in childhood, and which anthropometric variables contribute most to variation in BMI during childhood? METHODS Data on BMI, height (H), sitting height (SH), waist circumference (WC), waist to height ratio (WHtR), waist to sitting height ratio (...

Background: Undesirable sit-up and deviation from desirable status is one of the factors affecting the health of students in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between posture and musculoskeletal pain in boys 9 to 13 years old. Methods: In this correlation study, the population consisted of all boy students in the primary city of Birjand. 60 students were...

Equine bone blocks have osteogenic effects promoting regeneration with biocompatibility and osteoconductivity capacity. Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) can differentiate into osteoblasts enhancing biomineralization such scaffolds. Melatonin is able to improve health mediate formation. Collagenated equine were coated ammonia-functionalized graphene-oxide (G-N) at two different concentratio...
