By applying finite difference formula to time discretization and the cubic B-splines for spatial variable, a numerical method for solving the inverse system of Burgers equations is presented. Also, the convergence analysis and stability for this problem are investigated and the order of convergence is obtained. By using two test problems, the accuracy of presented method is verified. Additional...

in this paper, we solve the quadratic $alpha$ -functional equations $2f(x) + 2f(y) = f(x + y) + alpha^{-2}f( alpha(x-y)); (0.1)$ where $alpha$ is a fixed non-archimedean number with $alpha^{-2}neq 3$. using the fixed point method and the direct method, we prove the hyers-ulam stability of the quadratic $alpha$-functional equation (0.1) in non-archimedean banach spaces.

We study the null controllability of three parabolic equations. The control is acting only on one of the three equations. The three equations are coupled by means of two cubic nonlinearities. The linearized control system around 0 is not null controllable. However, using the cubic nonlinearities, we prove the (global) null controllability of the control system. The proof relies on the return me...

Periodic travelling waves are considered in the class of reduced Ostrovsky equations that describe low-frequency internal waves in the presence of rotation. The reduced Ostrovsky equations with either quadratic or cubic nonlinearities can be transformed to integrable equations of the Klein–Gordon type by means of a change of coordinates. By using the conserved momentum and energy as well as an ...

solubility of high molecular weight n-paraffins in supercritical carbon dioxide has been a matter of interest to many researchers. however, not sufficient solubility experimental data are available although the methods by which the experimental data are obtained have many varieties. utilizing cubic equations of state is an effective method for solubility prediction of n-paraffins in supercritic...

in this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness results to the random fractional functional differential equations under assumptions more general than the lipschitz type condition. moreover, the distance between exact solution and appropriate solution, and the existence extremal solution of the problem is also considered.

We consider a special class of two-dimensional discrete equations defined by relations on elementary N ×N squares, N > 2, of the square lattice Z, and propose a new type of consistency conditions on cubic lattices for such discrete equations that is connected to bending elementary N × N squares, N > 2, in the cubic lattice Z. For an arbitrary N we prove such consistency on cubic lattices for tw...

In a previous paper analytical equations were derived for the packing fraction of crystalline structures consisting of bimodal randomly placed hard spheres [H. J. H. Brouwers, Phys. Rev. E 76, 041304 (2007)]. The bimodal packing fraction was derived for the three crystalline cubic systems: viz., face-centered cubic, body-centered cubic, and simple cubic. These three equations appeared also to b...
