The transport and optical properties of the Nb-doped Cs(V$_{1-x}$Nb$_{x}$)$_{3}$Sb$_{5}$ with x = 0.03 0.07 have been investigated compared those undoped CsV$_{3}$Sb$_{5}$. Upon Nb doping, charge-density wave (CDW) transition temperature $T_{\text{CDW}}$ is suppressed, superconducting $T_{c}$ rises. residual resistivity ratio decreases suggesting an increase disorder. For all compounds, conduct...

We discovered the chirality of charge-density waves (CDW) in 1T-TiSe₂ by using STM and time-domain optical polarimetry. We found that the CDW intensity becomes Ia₁∶Ia₂∶Ia₃ = 1∶0.7 ± 0.1∶0.5 ± 0.1, where Ia(i) (i=1,2,3) is the amplitude of the tunneling current contributed by the CDWs. There were two states, in which the three intensity peaks of the CDW decrease clockwise and anticlockwise. The ...

BACKGROUND Stable circadian rhythm is important for both maternal and fetal health. This retrospective analysis of women in a semiconductor factory evaluated the effect of shift work exposure on childbearing and birth weight. METHODS Records of 440 female employees (initial mean age: 28.4 years) including 111 mothers who had 158 live births during the period of observation (1997-2007) were re...

A brief review of some of the most recent experiments on the charge density wave (CDW) transition in 1T-TiSe2 is presented. With increasing pressure or intercalation, the CDW can be suppressed and a superconducting (SC) phase emerges. In the pristine 1T-TiSe2, a commensurate CDW develops around 202 K. These experiments show that by tuning these external parameters like pressure, or doping, the ...

We have fabricated longitudinal nanoconstrictions in the charge-density wave conductor (CDW) NbSe3 using a focused ion beam and using a mechanically controlled break-junction technique. Conductance peaks are observed below the TP1=145 K and TP2=59 K CDW transitions, which correspond closely with previous values of the full CDW gaps 2Delta1 and 2Delta2 obtained from photoemission. These results ...

We report a Raman scattering study of low-temperature, pressure-induced melting of the charge-density-wave (CDW) phase of 1T-TiSe2. Our measurements reveal that the collapse of the CDW state occurs in three stages: (i) For P<5 kbar, the pressure dependence of the CDW amplitude mode energies and intensities are indicative of a "crystalline" CDW regime; (ii) for 5<P<25 kbar, there is a decrease i...

Lallemantia iberica (Bieb.) Fisch. and C. A. Mey is high valued annual ornamental and medicinal plant from Lamiaceae family that prefers dry sunny hillsides, roadsides, slopes, and fallow fields over an altitude of 500-2150 m. It bears beautiful white flowers and bloom from April to June each year. This study reports L. iberica micropropagation using cotyledon node explants isolated from 15-day...

Temperature-dependent reflectivity studies on the nonmagnetic kagome metal ${\mathrm{RbV}}_{3}{\mathrm{Sb}}_{5}$ in a broad energy range ($50--20000{\mathrm{cm}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$, equivalent to 6 meV--2.5 eV) down 10 K are reported. Below ${T}_{\mathrm{CDW}}=102$ K, optical spectra demonstrate prominent spectral-weight transfer from low higher energies as fingerprint of charge-density-wave (C...

A charge-density wave (CDW) state has a broken symmetry described by a complex order parameter with an amplitude and a phase. The conventional view, based on clean, weak-coupling systems, is that a finite amplitude and long-range phase coherence set in simultaneously at the CDW transition temperature T(cdw). Here we investigate, using photoemission, X-ray scattering and scanning tunnelling micr...

Abstract Diatoms such as Phaeodactylum tricornutum are emerging sustainable alternatives to traditional eukaryotic microbial cell factories. In order facilitate a viable process for production of heterologous metabolites, rational genetic design specifically tailored metabolic requirements well optimised culture conditions required. this study we investigated the effect constitutive and inducib...
