conclusions anti-tuberculosis drugs-induced hepatotoxicity caused treatment interruption in 5.5% of the patients with tuberculosis. the majority of the patients with dih were above fifty, and 50% the cases occurred during the first two weeks after treatment onset. physicians must carefully and closely monitor such patients. background hepatotoxicity is one of the most frequent adverse events th...
extract until recent years pharmacological researches focused on pathogeneses and abnormality in organogenesis but now researchers are studying drugs physiological disorders in pregnancy. these studies are specially focused on mothers and fetus, regulatory mechanism of passing drugs through placenta and movement of drug' materials between barriers of milk and blood in the breast. also th...
introduction: since prescription is a way of communication between the pharmacist, physician and patient, inattention to its principles may result in mis-consumption or incomplete use of the medicine, drug interactions, and increased probable adverse effects. therefore, this research tried to investigate physicians' commitment to principles of prescription writing for outpatients insured by med...
Photo-induced artificial RNA editing was demonstrated using photo-reactive oligonucleotides containing 3-cyanovinylcarbazole nucleoside. This non-enzymatic and sequence-specific methodology will make a major contribution to the elucidation of RNA functions including non-coding RNAs and to the development of drugs based on sequence-specific RNA editing.
Administration of enantiomerically pure β-adrenergic agonists and antagonists increases their activity and reduces side effects. We report here a small-molecule artificial receptor (SMAR) that, by mimicking the β-adrenergic receptor, is able to enantioselectively extract commercial β-adrenergic interacting drugs. The selectivity is justified according to DFT calculations and X-ray diffraction e...
The identity of the drugs 'Hribera' and 'Amragandha', as they are chosen currently, is discussed here 'Hribera' is identified as Coleus Zeylanicus. An artificial key and identifying features of the accepted source of Amragandha and related taxa which are possibly mixed it are also provided.
This paper deals with developing automatic classification algorithms for identifying images of F-actin distribution in endothelial cells with different treatment of drugs. A novel combination of genetic algorithm based feature selection, used to obtain an optimal feature set, and artificial neural network methods including the multilayer feedforward network and the functional link network was u...
We report a case of an otherwise healthy; ambulatory 32 year old parturient on combined antiretroviral therapy that developed prolonged muscle weakness needing postoperative artificial ventilation. Despite no preoperative indication of muscle weakness, she developed respiratory insufficiency following general anesthesia with drugs that are deemed safe for her condition. After ruling out all the...
Artificial Cells In article number 2202962, Yoon-Kyoung Cho and co-workers discuss the latest advances in cell membrane-engineered micro or nanoreactors that simulate biochemical compartments, signaling cascades, energy generation, growth, reproduction, adaptability. These reactors have potential to provide hybrid solutions for pharmaceutical drugs, biosensors, novel materials, microreactors.
The serum half-life of tobramycin was found to be the same as that of gentamicin in patients with similar renal function. The values ranged from 2 hr in normal volunteers to 53.4 hr in anephric patients. Both drugs were readily removed from the serum by the Kiil artificial kidney, with a 70% reduction in serum concentrations during a 12-hr dialysis period.
