This paper describes a series of mathematical functions implemented by the author in the commercial algorithmic software language ArtWonk, written by John Dunn, which are offered with that language as resources for composers. It gives a history of the development of the functions, with an emphasis on how I developed them for use in my compositions.

In this article I review two recent competitive programming books, published in 2020, which have not yet been presented the Olympiads Informatics journal. The books are Algorithmic Thinking by Daniel Zingaro and Competitive Programming Python Christoph Dürr Jill-Jênn Vie. Both introductory but their approaches different. focuses on process of learning algorithmic problem solving uses problems a...

In this paper we introduce a graph rewriting language, called Graph Rewriting and Transformation (GReAT), and a code generator tool, which together provide a programming framework for the specification and efficient realization of graph rewriting systems. We argue that the performance problems frequently associated with the implementation of the transformation can be significantly reduced by ad...

The hybridization of models of algorithmic composition models gave birth to Hybridized Interactive Algorithmic Composition (H.I.A.C.) model. This hybridized model was derived from the existing algorithmic composition models – where their strengths were harnessed and their weaknesses transparently subdued. The hybridized model was then analyzed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) as an Object-...

We introduce a method for transferring annotation from a syntactically annotated corpus in a source language to a target language. Our approach assumes only that an (unannotated) text corpus exists for the target language, and does not require that the parameters of the mapping between the two languages are known. We outline a general probabilistic approach based on Data Augmentation, discuss t...

This lecture discusses the role of language and information theory concepts for data compression and solving the inverse problem. The concept of Algorithmic Information Content (AIC) is introduced and shown to be crucial to achieving optimal data compression and optimized Bayesian priors for image reconstruction. The dependence of the AIC on the selection of language then suggests how e±cient c...

There has been a lot of work based on the paradigm “proofs as programs”, leading to sophisticated realizations (see e.g. [2,4, 133). An expected benefit is the development of correct programs, but, so far, no programming language in current use came from these works. The difficulty is the apparent distance between proofs and programs: the proofs are often complicated and the extracted programs ...

We study the theory of combinatorial games and find winning strategies for players. The algorithmic implementation game TacTix is presented software this in Python programming language implemented. program has a console interface allows one to check practice.

Algorithmic skeletons are functions representing common parallelization patterns and implemented in parallel. They can be used as the building blocks of parallel and distributed applications by integrating them into a sequential language. In this paper, we present a new approach to programming with skeletons. We integrate the skeletons into an imperative host language, which leads to important ...
