Let K be a field equipped with valuation. Tropical varieties over can defined theory of Gröbner bases taking into account the valuation K. Because use valuation, tropical has proved to provide settings for computations polynomial rings p-adic that are more stable than classical bases. Beforehand, these strategies were only available homogeneous polynomials. In this article, we extend F5 strateg...
Let p be a fixed prime number. Throughout this paper, p, p , and p will denote the ring of p-adic integers, the field of p-adic rational numbers, and the completion of the algebraic closure of p , respectively. Let be the set of natural numbers, and let ∪ {0}. Let νp be the normalized exponential valuation of p with |p|p p−νp p 1/p. Let q be regarded as either a complex number q ∈ or a p-adic n...
In (Arch. Math. 57 (1991), pp. 446–455), R. Farré proved a positivstellensatz for real-series closed fields. Here we consider p-valued fields 〈K, vp〉 with a non-trivial valuation v which satisfies a compatibility condition between vp and v. We use this notion to establish the p-adic analogue of real-series closed fields; these fields are called henselian residually p-adically closed fields. Fir...
Let p be a fixed odd prime. Throughout this paper Zp,Qp,C, andCp, will, respectively, denote the ring of p-adic rational integers, the field, of p-adic rational numbers, the complex number field and the completion of algebraic closure of Qp. Let N be the set of natural numbers and Z N ∪ {0}. Let νp be the normalized exponential valuation of Cp with |p|p p−νp p p−1 see 1–14 . When one speaks of ...

We analyze properties of the 2-adic valuations of S(n, k), the Stirling numbers of the second kind. A conjecture that describes patterns of these valuations for fixed k and n modulo powers of 2 is presented. The conjecture is established for k = 5.
We study the p-adic valuation of the values of normalised Hecke eigenforms attached to non-isotrivial elliptic curves defined over function fields of transcendence degree one over finite fields of characteristic p. We derive upper bounds on the smallest attained valuation in terms of the minimal discriminant under a certain assumption on the function field and provide examples to show that our ...
Let p be a fixed prime. Throughout this paper Zp, Qp, C and Cp will, respectively, denote the ring of p-adic rational integers, the field of p-adic rational numbers, the complex number field and the completion of algebraic closure of Qp, cf.[1, 4, 6, 10]. Let vp be the normalized exponential valuation of Cp with |p|p = p −vp(p) = p. When one talks of q-extension, q is variously considered as an...
