We have developed a fast and robust algorithm for the extraction of 3-D seismic attributes. The algorithm is based on the recursive computation of the 3-D sliding-window Radon transform. Considerable gain in computational eeciency has been achieved with respect to existing algorithms. Field data results demonstrate the eeectiveness of the method for 3-D seismic interpretation.

This paper proposes a fast algorithm, called the SpiralFFT, that computes samples of the 3-D discrete Fourier transform of an object of interest along spiral contours in frequency space. This type of sampling geometry is prevalent in 3-D magnetic resonance imaging, as spiral sampling patterns allow for rapid, uninterrupted scanning over a large range of frequencies. We show that parameterizing ...

This paper explores the use of a recently introduced 3-D dual-tree discrete wavelet transform (DDWT) for video coding. The 3-D DDWT is an attractive video representation because it isolates motion along different directions in separate subbands. However, it is an overcomplete transform with 8:1 or 4:1 redundancy. Based on the effectiveness of the iterative projectionbased noise shaping scheme p...

Electro-optical implementation of a three-dimensional (3-D) spatial correlation is proposed. A 3-D scene of objects, seen from the paraxial zone, is correlated with a reference object. As an example of application, we describe a 3-D joint transform correlator that is capable of recognizing targets in the 3-D space. © 1998 Optical Society of America [S0740-3232(98)02102-4] OCIS codes: 070.2590, ...

For almost two decades one of the most successful methods of demodulating fringe patterns was based on the Fourier transform implementation of the 1-D Hilbert transform /1/ . Recently, however, a method of fringe analysis based on an isotropic 2-D Hilbert transform has been proposed /2/ . An isotropic Hilbert transform had been previously considered topologically impossible by many researchers....
