Two main modifications of Holmes's method are described. In both the amount of silver nitrate in the impregnating bath is increased, and larger quantities of higher pyridine derivatives are substituted for pyridine. The preferred method for general purposes employs 2-4% 2:6 lutidine at pH 8-4, and gives a bluish picture with improved selectivity of fibre staining. The use of i-6% 2:4:6 collidin...

In accord with the nomenclature proposed for mutants of simian virus 40 the same rules, with minor modifications, are recommended for naming mutants of adenoviruses. It is further suggested that these rules, which pertain to a system of classification based primarily upon complementation analysis, also be applied to mutants of other DNA-containing animal viruses.

Due to rapid economic growth, the use of plastics in almost all areas human life has significantly increased over recent decades, leading massive pollution. Therefore, works dealing with sustainable and biodegradable polymer materials are vital now. Herein, Mater-Bi/poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL)-based biocomposites, filled diisocyanate-modified cellulose particles, were prepared subjected 12-week ...

The in vitro susceptibility of 20 medical isolates of Scedosporium prolificans to ajoene, allitridium and raw garlic extract derived from cloves of garlic (Allium sativum) was tested using the NCCLS reference method (with minor modifications) for broth microdilution. The results demonstrate that both garlic derivatives and raw garlic extract appear to have in vitro activity against S. prolificans.

This paper surveys the application of geometric algebra to the physics of electrons. It first appeared in 1996 and is reproduced here with only minor modifications. Subjects covered include non-relativistic and relativistic spinors, the Dirac equation, operators and monogenics, the Hydrogen atom, propagators and scattering theory, spin precession, tunnelling times, spin measurement, multipartic...

We consider the Bethe Ansatz Equations for orbifolds of N =4 SYM w.r.t. an arbitrary discrete group. Techniques used for the Abelian orbifolds can be extended to the generic non-Abelian case with minor modifications. We show how to make a transition between the different notations in the quiver gauge theory.

The purpose of this note is to propose minor modifications to recent changes in the classification of katydids, to preserve the stability of the family Tettigoniidae as including all katydids. This concept has been used in the majority of references since it was established long ago (Krauss 1902), with comparatively few exceptions, where all katydid subfamilies were treated as families in super...

Haemophilus somnus, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae from cattle and pigs with respiratory disease were used to evaluate the RapID NH system (Innovative Diagnostics, Atlanta, Ga.). Minor modifications of the RapID NH system to include animal source and growth requirements would permit the identification of all isolates tested.
