This paper introduces the notion of \(tdB\)-algebra, presents characteristics and properties dual \(B\)-filters \(B\)-subalgebras in a uniform topology on \(B\)-algebra terms its \(B\)-subalgebras. Moreover, this shows that \(B\)-structure is \(tdB\)-algebra.

An operator is uniform if its restriction to any infinite-dimensional invariant subspace is unitarily equivalent to itself. We show that a uniform operator having a proper infinite-dimensional invariant subspace resembles an analytic Toeplitz operator in the way that the weakly closed algebra generated by it and the identity operator is isomorphic to a subalgebra of the Calkin algebra; furtherm...

We define the concept of a partial translation structure T on a metric space X and we show that there is a natural C *-algebra C * (T) associated with it which is a subalgebra of the uniform Roe algebra C * u (X). We introduce a coarse invariant of the metric which provides an obstruction to embedding the space in a group. When the space is sufficiently group-like, as determined by our invarian...

Although derivations from Banach algebras to particular coefficient modules have been much studied, interest has usually focused on the existence or otherwise of non-trivial bounded derivations, rather than their characterisation. Even in the special case of derivations from a commutative Banach algebra to its dual (as in [2] or [5] for example), there are comparatively few examples where the s...

The minimum backward Fréchet distance (MBFD) problem is a natural optimization problem for the weak Fréchet distance, a variant of the well-known Fréchet distance. In this problem, a threshold ε and two polygonal curves, T1 and T2, are given. The objective is to find a pair of walks on T1 and T2, which minimizes the union of the portions of backward movements while the distance between the movi...
