A new type of finite volume WENO schemes for hyperbolic problems was devised in [36] by introducing the order-preserving (OP) criterion. In this continuing work, we extend OP criterion to WENO-Z-type schemes. We firstly rewrite formulas Z-type weights a uniform form from mapping perspective inspired extensive numerical observations. Accrodingly, build concept locally (LOP) which is an extension...

nonstandard finite difference schemes for the black-scholes partial differential equation preserving the positivity property are proposed. computationally simple schemes are derived by using a nonlocal approximation in the reaction term of the black-scholes equation. unlike the standard methods, the solutions of new proposed schemes are positive and free of the spurious oscillations.

We study the strict type assignment system, a restriction of the intersection type discipline [6], and prove that it has the principal type property. We define, for a term M, the principal pair (of basis and type). We specify three operations on pairs, and prove that all pairs deducible for M can be obtained from the principal one by these operations, and that these map deducible pairs to deduc...

At CRYPTO 2014, Abe, Groth, Ohkubo and Tibouchi presented genericsigner structure-preserving signature schemes using Type 2 pairings. The schemes were claimed to enjoy the smallest number of group elements in signatures and the fastest signature verification. By properly accounting for the concrete structure of the underlying group and subgroup membership testing of group elements in signatures...

Two of the most prominent features of ML are its expressive module system and its support for Damas-Milner type inference. However, while the foundations of both these features have been studied extensively, their interaction has never received a proper type-theoretic treatment. One consequence is that both the official Definition and the alternative Harper-Stone semantics of Standard ML are di...

A class of non-oscillatory numerical methods for solving nonlinear scalar conservation laws in one space dimension is considered. This class of methods contains the classical Lax-Friedrichs and the second order Nessyahu-Tadmor scheme. In the case of linear flux, new l2 stability results and error estimates for the methods are proved. Numerical experiments confirm that these methods are one-side...

As a continuation of the research on the BGK type schemes, in this paper we present a second order unsplitting method for the shallow water equations. Diierent from any other approaches, the source terms are included explicitly into the time-dependentux functions across cell interface.

As a continuous eeort to understand the Godunov-type schemes, following the paper \Projection in this paper we are going to study the gas evolution dynamics of the exact and approximate Riemann solvers. More speciically, the underlying dynamics of Flux Vector Splitting (FVS) and Flux Diierence Splitting (FDS) schemes will be analyzed. Since the FVS scheme and the Kinetic Flux Vector Splitting (...
