Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate if an octadecyl (18C) minicolumn could be applied successfully for quality control of 99mTc exametazime (HMPAO). Methods: The 18C column system using saline eluent was validated against the Whatman 17 method in calculating the percent radiochemical purity of 99mTc-HMPAO. The behavior of 99mTc-pertechnetate (TcO4) and hydrolyzed-reduced 99m...

Abstract Pretreated silica sand labeling using varying concentrations of tin(II) fluoride and chloride as reducing agents different times was performed in order to develop a methodology for with 99m Tc solid radiotracer. Influence pretreatment parameters on the sorption yield (R ret% ) statistically evaluated. The effectiveness methods used reduce pertechnetate ( TcO 4 − by ascending paper chro...

a 13 years old boy with severe abdominal pain and history of intermittent (ii bleeding since the aye of 3 months, is presented. different diagnostic procedures were unremarkable. a tc-99m pertechnetate abdominal study revealed abnormal radionuclide accumulation in small bowel region. duplication of small bowel was suspected which was confirmed by surgery and pathologic examination.

Due to the high variance in available protocols on iodide-131 ((131)I) ablation in rodents, we set out to establish an effective method to generate a thyroid-ablated mouse model that allows the application of the sodium iodide symporter (NIS) as a reporter gene without interference with thyroidal NIS. We tested a range of (131)I doses with and without prestimulation of thyroidal radioiodide upt...

UNLABELLED For noninvasive monitoring of cellular status by dual reporters, a dual membrane protein reporter system was developed and its in vivo applicability was examined. Human sodium iodide symporter (hNIS) and mutant dopamine D(2) receptor (D(2)R) transgenes were chosen considering their complementarity. METHODS pIRES-hNIS/D(2)R containing NIS and D(2)R linked with an internal ribosomal ...

Radiopharmaceuticals are radioactively labeled compounds fulfilling the requirements of pharmaceutical products, used in radio diagnosis or radiotherapy. One essential parameter in the quality control of radiopharmaceuticals is the radionuclidic purity. In this work, we present aspects regarding the radionuclidic purity determination for the radiopharmaceutical products: Sodium Iodide (I) solut...

BACKGROUND Gastric cancers have poor overall survival despite recent advancements in early detection methods, endoscopic resection techniques, and chemotherapy treatments. Vaccinia viral therapy has had promising therapeutic potential for various cancers and has a great safety profile. We investigated the therapeutic efficacy of a novel genetically-engineered vaccinia virus carrying the human s...

Triple density gradients of metrizamide in plasma (MP) were used to characterize label distribution in human leukocyte preparations incubated with 99mTc tin colloids. Less than 50% of the cell-associated radioactivity was specifically bound to leukocytes when heparinized blood was rotated with stannous fluoride colloid ([Tc]SFC). Labeling efficiency in leukocyte rich plasma (LRP) averaged 44%, ...

The design and synthesis of a neutral macrocyclic host that is capable of perrhenate and pertechnetate recognition is described. The anion affinities and underlying coordination modes were estimated by several experimental and theoretical methods including a new technique--reverse (99)Tc NMR titration.
