It has been found that multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CS-CNT) can be produced in mass level, simply by pyrolysing mustard oil which was then derivatized with carboxylic acid (CS-CNT (acid)) and ammonia (CS-CNT (base)). A low cost electrode was fabricated on Teflon substrate with three silver wires which was coated with different types of carbon nanotube. A comparative study of electrochemical be...

CoSn(3) nanoparticles have been successfully assembled on noncovalently poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) via a chemical reduction method in a polyol system. The influences of the surface functionality and the reaction temperature on the synthesis of uniform CoSn(3)-MWCNTs nanohybrids have been investigated. The as-synthesized CoSn(3)-MW...

We studied synthesis of Ni or Fe nanoparticle-loaded multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) by pyrolyzing metal organic salts with CaH2, a very strong reductant. The use of CaH2 lowered the formation temperature of MWCNTs down to 400 °C without the use of toxic halogen-containing precursors and assistance of plasma.

Carboxymethyl chitosan dialdehyde starch Schiff base (CMCDAS) and its metal complexes are synthesized by corn (St), sodium periodate, carboxymethyl chitosan, ions (copper, zinc, nickel, silver), characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), energy dispersive (EDS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD). The antibact...

is paper reports the strain sensitivity of exible, electrically conductive, and nanostructured cellulose which was prepared by modication of bacterial cellulose with double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs).e electrical conductivity depends on themodifying agent and its dispersion process.e conductivity of the samples obtained from bacterial cellulo...

We present the results of the fast electro-optic response of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-doped deformed helix ferroelectric liquid crystal (DHFLC). The fastening of the response in MWCNTs-doped DHFLC has been attributed to the decrease in rotational viscosity and increase in anchoring energy. The decrease in the former is due to the experience of the torque both by MWCNTs and DHFLC an...

Self-assembled bundling and catalyst removal can enhance the field emission stability and density of vertically-aligned multiwalled carbon nanotubes (VA-MWCNTs). These catalystfree, opened tip, VA-MWCNTs offered better emission stability than the as grown samples. Both the emission stability and density were further enhanced as the opened-tip MWCNTs self-assembled into arrays of conical bundles...

Objective(s): This study considered the combination of chitosan nanoparticles with antioxidant-antibacterial fraction extracted from Lactobacillus casei and investigation of possible increasing of antibacterial activity of the fraction in hybrid nanoparticle and the effect of the fraction on the stability of chitosan nanoparticles. Methods: Extra...

The electrochemical behavior of lansoprazole (LNS) was investigated at a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and the GCE modified by a gel containing multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and a room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) in 0.10 M phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.8. It was found that an irreversible anodic oxidation peak with an ...
