One new and six known flavone glycosides were isolated from the MeOH extract of Melilotus neapolitana Ten. The new compound, identified as 7-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-4',5-dihydroxy-3-[O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->6)-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy]flavone (1) by 1D and 2D NMR techniques and mass spectra, was isolated along with kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (2), kaempferol-3-O-glucoside (3), rutin...

Activity-guided fractionation of the methanol extract of Ebenus pinnata aerial parts led to the isolation of ombuoside (1), kaempferol 3-O-rutinoside (2), rutin (3), catechin (4), and picein (5), along with beta-sitosterol and beta-sitosterol glucoside. Compounds 1-4 showed significant antioxidant activity in the DPPH, and TEAC, reducing power assays.

An experimental setup based on a 2(3) full-factorial, central-composite design was implemented with the aim of optimising the recovery of polyphenols from olive leaves by employing reusable and nontoxic solutions composed of water/ethanol/citric acid as extracting media. The factors considered were (i) the pH of the medium, (ii) the extraction time and (iii) the ethanol concentration. The model...

Four clerodane glycosides, cussosides A-D, and one labdane glycoside, cussoside E were isolated from the dried leaves of Cussonia racemosa, along with two known flavonol glycosides identified as rutin and kaempferol rutinoside. The structures of the compounds were deduced on the basis of their physical and spectral data.

Larix gmelinii, Pinaceae, Flavonoids, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography From needles of Larix gmelinii sixteen flavonoids were isolated and identified. The main flavonoids had been analyzed before, eight minor ones were identified as quercetin-3-glucoside, isorhamnetin-3-glucoside and -3-arabinoside, a somewhat lipophilic kaempferol-3-glucoside derivative, apigenin-7-glucoside, laricitrin-...

Four kaempferol glycosides and five quercetin glycosides have been isolated from a methanolic extract of Paederia scandens var. mairei leaves and stems, in which in addition four un known glycosides of kaempferol and quercetin are present in a trace. Nine flavonol glycosides including a new glycoside quercetin 3-0-rutinoside-7-0-xylosylglucoside (paederinin) were identified by PC, HPLC, UV spe...

Diabetes is a severe chronic disease that affects 422 million adults worldwide in 2014. It was the fifth leading cause of mortality Philippines 2019. The primary death diabetic patients due to cardiovascular disease. α-Glucosidase inhibitors (AGIs) are known for their benefits because they prevent postprandial glucose level from increasing, which plays significant role development diseases. syn...

From leaves of Triticum aestivum a new O-glycosylflavone has been isolated together with chlorogenic acid and its 3'-methyl ether and 6 C-glycosylflavones. The structure of the new flavonoid was determined by 1D and 2D NMR techniques and other spectral evidence as 5,7-dihydroxy-3',4',5'-trimethoxyflavone-7-O-beta-rutinoside.
