This is a photographic dataset collected for testing image processing algorithms. The idea is to have sets of different but statistically similar images. In this work the images show randomly distributed peppercorns. The dataset is made available at this URL.

The Marshallese Cultural Society is underlaking digitization, retouch/restoration, printing and electronic storage and archiving of over 2400 photographic glass plate negatives created between 1890-1930 in the Marshall Islands. This poster paper presents a summary of the technical, organizational, cultural processes that have brought the project to fruition.
