How to reconfigure a logic gate for a variety of functions is an interesting topic. In this paper, a different method of designing logic gates are proposed. Initially, due to the training ability of the multilayer perceptron neural network, it was used to create a new type of logic and full adder gates. In this method, the perceptron network was trained and then tested. This network was 100% ac...

Installing conservation fences to prohibit feral animal access wetlands can become a barrier for non-target species of interest. We collected 161 turtles (Chelodina rugosa, Emydura subglobosa worrelli, Myuchelys latisternum) from twenty floodplain and riverine during post-wet (June–August) late-dry season (November–December) surveys (2015–2018) in northern Australia. Wetlands were fenced (150 ×...

The charge flow from a single C(60) molecule to another one has been probed. The conformation and electronic states of both molecules on the contacting electrodes have been characterized using a cryogenic scanning tunneling microscope. While the contact conductance of a single molecule between two Cu electrodes can vary up to a factor of 3 depending on electrode geometry, the conductance of the...

For a given convex body, find a “small” wall hole through which the convex body can pass. This type of problems goes back to Zindler [14] in 1920, who considered a convex polytope which can pass through a fairly small circular holes. A related topic known as Prince Rupert’s problem can be found in [2]. Here we concentrate on the case when the convex body is a regular tetrahedron or a regular n-...

Logical gates studied in quantum computation suggest a natural logical abstraction that gives rise to a new form of unsharp quantum logic. We study the logical connectives corresponding to the following gates: the Toffoli gate, the NOT and the √ NOT (which admit of natural physical models). This leads to a semantic characterization of a logic that we call computational quantum logic (CQL).

The controlled-not gate and the single qubit gates are considered elementary gates in quantum computing. It is natural to ask how many such elementary gates are needed to implement more elaborate gates or circuits. Recall that a controlled-U gate can be realized with two controlled-not gates and four single qubit gates. We prove that this implementation is optimal if and only if the matrix U sa...

What is the smallest circular or square wall hole that a regular tetrahedron can pass? This problem was solved by Itoh–Tanoue– Zamfirescu [8]. Then, we settled the case of equilateral triangular hole in [1]. Motivated by these results, we consider the corresponding problems in higher dimensions. Among other results, we determine the minimum (n−1)-dimensional ball hole that a unit regular n-simp...

Gates that transfer objects within their capacity, without formation of queues, are considered in a combinatorial framework. The number of different ways, I m,n, ( ) , n objects can pass randomly an array of m gates, each with constrained capacity , is used to characterize its performance. Two gate distributions were formulated and their properties studied. The first, n dependent distribution w...
