We report the seminal contributions of both Dr. Arthur Moses (Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro), in 1911, and Dr. Oswaldo Lange (Faculdade de Medicina da USP, São Paulo), in 1940, to the diagnosis of neurocysticercosis (NC).
