We solve a new chiral Random Two-Matrix Theory by means of biorthogonal polynomials for any matrix size N. By deriving the relevant kernels we find explicit formulas for all (n, k)-point spectral (mixed or unmixed) correlation functions. In the microscopic limit we find the corresponding scaling functions, and thus derive all spectral correlators in this limit as well. We extend these results t...

Miroscopic theories of nematic liquid crystals allow us to calculate from a few molecular parameters a number of macroscopic and static properties, such as the equation of state, the short and long-range order parameters and the visco-elastic coefficients. An attempt to provide such a microscopic theory which, for the more common nematics, fits the experimental data for the elastic constants an...

The important role of the electron-phonon interaction (EPI) in explaining the properties of the normal state and pairing mechanism in high-Tc superconductors (HTSC) is discussed. A number of experimental results are analyzed such as: dynamical conductivity, Raman scattering, neutron scattering, ARPES, tunnelling measurements, isotope effect and etc. They give convincing evidence that the EPI is...

The cosmological constant is one of the most pressing problems in modern physics. We address this issue from an emergent gravity standpoint, by using an analogue gravity model. Indeed, the dynamics of the emergent metric in a Bose-Einstein condensate can be described by a Poisson-like equation with a vacuum source term reminiscent of a cosmological constant. The direct computation of this term ...

– We study the orientational dynamics of infinitely thin hard rods of length L, with the centers-of-mass fixed on a simple cubic lattice with lattice constant a. We approximate the influence of the surrounding rods onto dynamics of a pair of rods by introducing an effective rotational diffusion constant D(l), l = L/a. We get D(l) ∝ [1 − υ(l)], where υ(l) is given through an integral of a time-d...

The microscopic and macroscopic characters of the leaves, physical constant values, behavior on treatment with different chemical reagents, fluorescence characters under ultra violet light after treatment with different chemical reagents of the powdered leaves of Azadirachta indica A. Juss (Family-Meliaceae) were studies to fix some pharmacognostical parameters.

We show how coupling techniques can be used in some metastable systems to prove that mean metastable exit times are almost constant as functions of the starting microscopic configuration within a “metastable set”. In the example of the Random Field Curie Weiss model, we show that these ideas can also be used to prove asymptotic exponentiality of normalized metastable escape times.

for a given riemannian manifold (m,g),it is an interesting question to study the existence of a conformal diffemorphism (also called as a conformal transformation) f : m ! m such that the metric g? = fg has one of the following properties: (i)(m; g?) has constant scalar curvature. (ii)(m; g?) is an einstein manifold.

Single-molecule force experiments provide powerful new tools to explore biomolecular interactions. Here, we describe a systematic procedure for extracting kinetic information from force-spectroscopy experiments, and apply it to nanopore unzipping of individual DNA hairpins. Two types of measurements are considered: unzipping at constant voltage, and unzipping at constant voltage-ramp speeds. We...
