In the first part of this paper, stability in the open air and ageing of plasma polymer films is concisely reviewed. Nanocomposite films metal/plasma polymer are shortly discussed. Their ageing is considered. Future work on more complex composites such as Sn or SnO2 /plasma polymer films is outlined.
