Atrial myxomas is the most prevalent benign heart tumor which is presented with a wide variety of symptoms. We introduce a case who suffered left atrial myxoma associated with clinical weakness and thorombocytopenia. The clinical symptoms of the patient rapidly disappeared one week after cardial myxoma resection.
Although cardiac tumor is rare, cardiac myxoma is the most common primary cardiac tumor in adults (50%-70%). Myxoma, as a benign neoplasm, can develop in any chamber of the heart the most common site being the left atrium (75%) with an overall incidence of about 0.5/million/year. Nowadays echocardiography plays a crucial role in early precise diagnosis and treatment and, therefore, prevents lif...

We present a case of 47-year-old man who was admitted to the cardiac surgery department with clinical picture heart failure and multiple Tu-formations in three cavities. He underwent extraction tumor formations from cavities an excellent outcome.
An unsuspected metastasis of liposarcoma of the heart was detected on a computed tomographic (CT) examination of the chest. Further CT study with i.v. contrast administration gave excellent delineation of the tumor. Compared with two-dimensional echocardiography and angiocardiography, CT was best at showing the myocardial and intrapericardial extension of the tumor, but did not show movement of...
This article is a survey of 476 consecutive cases of tumor death for heart involvement. The somewhat selected group of cases (from a Veterans Administration hospital) shows an incidence of cardiac metastasis of 19.1 per cent. The bulk of tumors metastasizing to the heart were bronchogenic carcinoma, malignant melanoma, malignant lymphoma, and carcinoma of the pancreas and esophagus. Electrocard...
a 28-year-old man presented with a chest radiograph strongly suggestive for cardiomegaly. although he did not consent any hemodynamic studies, cardiomegaly was ruled out on the basis of the clinical course. computed tomography showed the existence of a large mass in both sides of the heart and in both lower hemithoraces. the tumor was resected by anterior mediastinotomy; it was weighted 2100 g ...
