The concept of upper and lower semicontinuity of fuzzy mappings introduced by Bao and Wu [Y.E. Bao, C.X. Wu, Convexity and semicontinuity of fuzzy mappings, Comput. Math. Appl., 51 (2006) 1809–1816] is redefined by using the concept of parameterized triples of fuzzy numbers. On the basis of the linear ordering of fuzzy numbers proposed by Goetschel and Voxman [R. Goetschel, W. Voxman, Elementar...

The core point of fuzzy control approaches are finite lists of linguistic control rules. For computerbased automatic control these lists have to be transformed into control algorithms which can be realized on a computer. The main general idea of this fuzzy control approach is that such an algorithm should yield a fuzzy subset of the output space of the control problem if confronted with a fuzzy...

The definition of a D-admissible fuzzy subset for an operator domain D on a group G is modified to obtain new kinds of (∈,∈ ∨q)-fuzzy subgroups such as an (∈,∈ ∨q)-fuzzy normal subgroup, an (∈,∈ ∨q)-fuzzy characteristic subgroup, an (∈,∈ ∨q)fuzzy fully invariant subgroup which are invariant under D. As results, some of the fundamental properties of such (∈,∈ ∨q)−fuzzy subgroups are obtained.

Abstract Assuming that ∗ is any operation defined on a product set X × Y and taking values on a set Z,it can be extended to intuitionistic fuzzy sets by means of the extended form of the Zadeh’s extension principle for the intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Given an IFS C of Z, it is here shown how to solve the equation A ∗ B = C (or A ∗ B ⊆ C) when an intuitionistic fuzzy subset A of X (or an intuitio...

In 1965, Zadeh [14] introduced the concept of fuzzy subsets and studied their properties on the parallel lines to set theory. In 1971, Rosenfeld [10] defined the fuzzy subgroup and gave some of its properties. Rosenfeld’s definition of a fuzzy group is a turning point for pure mathematicians. Since then, the study of fuzzy algebraic structure has been pursued in many directions such as groups, ...

In this paper, a characterization of convex fuzzy mappings is obtained. SupposeF C : ® F is a fuzzy mapping, whereC is a non-empty convex subset ofR andF is the set of all fuzzy numbers. With respect to the fuzzy-max order, F is convex if and only if it is both quasi-convex and intermediate-point convex. In this paper, a characterization of convex fuzzy mappings will be given. Specifically, it ...

This paper proposes a method for solving linear programming problems where all the coefficients are, in general, fuzzy numbers. We use a fuzzy ranking method to rank the fuzzy objective values and to deal with the inequality relation on constraints. It allows us to work with the concept of feasibility degree. The bigger the feasibility degree is, the worst the objective value will be. We offer ...

the main goal of the present paper is to extend classical results from the measure theory and dynamical systems to the fuzzy subset setting. in this paper, the notion of  dynamic equivalence relation is introduced and then it is proved that this relation is an equivalence relation. also, a new metric on the collection of all equivalence classes is introduced and it is proved that this metric is...

Effective domain theory is applied to fuzzy logic to give suitable notions of semi-decidable and decidable L-subset. The connection with the notions of fuzzy Turing machines and fuzzy grammar given in literature is also investigated. This shows the inadequateness of these definitions and the difficulties in formulating an analogue of Church Thesis for fuzzy logic.
