Congenital granular cell tumor (CGCT) is a rare benign neoplastic growth of the anterior maxilla of neonates. The tissue origin of this lesion whether it is from neural or muscular; is still debatable although many immunohisto chemical markers studies have been documented. We present a case report of a female neonate with a large CGCT along with a brief review of literature.

Congenital accessory limbs are very rare anomalies with many causative factors. We describe the case of a 1-day-old female neonate-born to a healthy, 27-year-old mother-who presented with an accessory limb (foot) attached to the buttock and an imperforate anus. We also provide a review of the relevant literature.

Haemolytic crisis in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficient individuals following topical application of henna occurred in four children: a female neonate (haemoglobin 50 g/l, serum bilirubin 700 micromol/l), who recovered after exchange transfusion; a male infant (haemoglobin 28 g/l) who died despite transfusion; and two preschool children (haemoglobin 40 and 41 g/l respectively).

Rothia aeria, a gram-positive coccoid- to rod-shaped bacterium with irregular morphology, is an extremely rare causative organism of infections in humans. We report the first case of R. aeria sepsis clinically manifested in a female neonate soon after birth.
