The Euler-Maxwell equations as a hydrodynamic model of charge transport of semiconductors in an electromagnetic field are studied. The global approximate solutions to the initial-boundary value problem are constructed by the fractional Godunov scheme. The uniform bound and H−1 compactness are proved. The approximate solutions are shown convergent by weak convergence methods. Then, with some new...

. Consider a mechanical system consisting of N particles in R subject to some forces. Let xi ∈ R denote the position vector of the ith particle. Then all possible positions of the system are described by N -tuples (x1, . . . , xN ) ∈ (R) . The space (R) is an example of a configuration space. The time evolution of the system is described by a curve (x1(t), . . . , xN (t)) in (R) and is governed...

This paper develops the geometry and analysis of the averaged Euler equations for ideal incompressible flow in domains in Euclidean space and on Riemannian manifolds, possibly with boundary. The averaged Euler equations involve a parameter α; one interpretation is that they are obtained by ensemble averaging the Euler equations in Lagrangian representation over rapid fluctuations whose amplitud...

Abstract. The mathematical model of industrial robot is well known for example in the form of Lagrange-Euler equations, Newton-Euler equations or generalized d’Alambert equations. However, these equations require the physical parameters of robot like masses, inertia momentums, etc. that are very hard to measure. In the paper, the method for calculation of Lagrange-Euler robot model using neural...

In this paper it is attempted to investigate the behavior of an inviscid flow in the meridional plane of an axial flow compressor. For this purpose the 3-D unsteady Euler equations in cylindrical coordinate are averaged in tangential direction. Therefore, the equations are reduced to a 2-D system. By averaging the tangential component of momentum equation, a blade force will result. Axial and r...

I estimate an extended version of the incomplete markets consumption model allowing for heterogeneity in discount factors, nonseparable preferences for food and other nondurables, liquidity constraints, and precautionary savings. I find statistical support for this model, especially for the non-separability of preferences for food and other nondurables. JEL D12, D91, E21

We present a new method for stability and modal analysis of shear flows and their acoustic radiation. The Euler equations are modified and solved as a spatial initial value problem in which initial perturbations are specified at the flow inlet and propagated downstream by integration of the equations. The modified equations, which we call one-way Euler equations, differ from the usual Euler equ...

We propose new construction of dependent variables for equations of an ideal barotropic fluid. This construction is based on a direct generalization of the known connection between Schroedinger equation and a system of Euler-type equations. The system for two complexvalued functions is derived that is equivalent to Euler equations. Possible advantages of the proposed formulation are discussed.
