Background: We aimed to determine diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of clinical laboratory findings in patients with Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF).
conclusions the viral load in patients who suffer from cchf has a direct significant correlation with disease severity. viral load above 8.6 × 105 copies/ml on the first day of admission is a predictor of severe cchf. background crimean-congo hemorrhagic fever (cchf) is an endemic disease in south eastern of iran, especially in sistan and baluchestan province. cchf is a potentially fatal diseas...
From February to August 2003, 38 persons were infected with Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus in Mauritania; 35 of these persons were residents of Nouakchott. The first patient was a young woman who became ill shortly after butchering a goat. She transmitted the infection to 15 persons in the hospital where she was admitted and four members of her family. We report here an atypical presentation of CCHF with hyponatremia. CCHF with electrolyte imbalance is not reported before. A 4-year-old girl presented with fever, fatigue and unconsciousness with hyponatremia....

We report the epidemiologic characteristics of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever in Bulgaria, as well as the first genetic characterization of the virus strains circulating in the country in 2002 to 2003 that caused disease in humans.
Here, we report the complete genome sequences of two Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) strains, 79121M18 and YL04057, isolated in Xinjiang, China. Sequence analysis showed that they represent a genotype of CCHFV that has not been reported before.
