energy equation for turbulent flow in a rotating system was derived in terms of second order correlation tensors, where the correlation tensors were functions of space coordinates, distance between two points and time. to reveal the relationship of turbulent energy between two points, one point was taken as origin of the coordinate system. due to rotation, the coriolis force played an important...

Abstract Validating real-time measurements from a sensor/instrument is multifaceted challenge. One goal the provision of dynamic uncertainty analysis, ideally incorporating influence instrument faults and local environment. Such an analysis requires broader model behaviour, accommodating non-ideal operational conditions. It may also require wider range transducer data than when ideal, ...

Context. Secondary stars in dwarf novae are strongly irradiated during outbursts. It has been argued that this could result in an enhancement of the mass transfer rate even though the L1 region is shadowed from the primary irradiation by the accretion disc. Previous investigations of the possibility of a circulation flow transporting heat from hot regions to L1 gave opposite answers. Aims. We i...

Modern automated pouring systems have been used at tank farm for the release of petroleum products. The main physical quantities accounting products are weight, volume, density and temperature. There is a large number methods means, so-called flow meters, to measure these quantities. One most common, versatile accurate mass flowmeter liquid which built on principle Coriolis forces, since measur...

Coriolis flowmeters have been widely employed in a variety of industrial applications. There is potential that the measuring tube flowmeter may be eroded when it used to measure abrasive fluid such as slurry flow. However, challenging verify structural health without process interruptions or using on-site calibration devices meter provers. This article presents an situ health-monitoring techniq...

In this paper we present a significant reduction in size of a micromachined Coriolis mass flow sensor without sacrificing resolution or range. The sensor has a flow range from 10 mg/h up to more than 1000 mg/h, which is equivalent to 10 ul/h to 1 ml/h water. The reduction is achieved by using a more localized magnetic field for the actuation of the sensor.
