Among the methods of preliminary opening refractory gold before sorption cyanidation, technology bacterial oxidation is widely used today. Although this has many advantages, specialists most enterprises around world using are faced with problem foaming in bio-oxidation reactors. This article discusses possibility oxidative roasting processing foam product process flotation concentrate a separat...

Radioactive waste from different sectors such as nuclear energy, health care and food has become a discernible part of our environment. Several dumping methods are in routine practice to dispose radioactive wastes. Huge chemical and energy input in various skillful physico-chemical methods has limited their use while biological methods exploring the potential of micro-organisms could be a promi...

Bio-functionalized nanoparticles with semiconducting/metallic core encapsulated in a bio- or bio-derived materials are promising for applications in biology and especially in cancer diagnostic and healing. In this report, we report a facile, single-step, first-time synthesis and in-situ functionalization strategy for the preparation of monodispersed selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) functionalized...

This study investigates the performance of granular dead anaerobic sludge (GDAS) bio-sorbent as permeable reactive barrier in removing phenol from a simulated contaminated shallow groundwater. Batch tests have been performed to characterize equilibrium sorption properties GDAS and sandy soil phenol-containing aqueous solutions. The results proved that best values operating parameters, which ach...

"Breathing" metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are an emerging class of soft porous crystals (SPCs) with potential for high working capacity for gas storage applications. However, most breathing MOFs have low stability and/or low surface area. Here we report a water-stable, high surface area, breathing MOF of ftw topology, NU-1105. While Zr6-oxo clusters as nodes introduce water stability in NU-11...

Veterinary antibiotics such as oxytetracycline (OTC) increasingly are found in the environment and often come into direct contact with soils via the release of animal wastes. Oxytetracycline is known to sorb strongly to soils by interaction with soil organic matter, clay minerals, and metal oxides. However, current knowledge of the influence of soil properties on OTC sorption is limited, as is ...

A new strut containing an imidazolium tetracarboxylic acid core has been successfully incorporated into a microporous material using paddlewheel-coordinated copper(II) ions as nodes. Sorption studies conducted on this permanently microporous material imply that it can separate carbon dioxide from methane with high selectivity.
