A weighted linear regression model with impercise response and p-real explanatory variables is analyzed. The LR fuzzy random variable is introduced and a metric is suggested for coping with this kind of variables. A least square solution for estimating the parameters of the model is derived. The result are illustrated by the means of some case studies.
This paper presents a new complexity metric for Object-Oriented (OO) design measurement to find at the design stage whether the classes become more complex, Moderate complex or less complex. The proposed metric is theoretically evaluated against the Weyuker’s properties as well as empirically evaluated against three open source software system. Furthermore, for validating the validity of new co...
the aim of this paper is to identify the quality factors of business to business (b2b) electronic commerce applications. having in mind the above-mentioned goal, a model will be developed in three phases. at the first stage, well-known software quality models are studied for choosing a model as the basis and using the quality factors of web applications and through referring to the quality char...
This paper represents another step in overcoming a drawback of K-Means, its lack of defense against noisy features, by using feature weights in the criterion. The Weighted K-Means method by Huang et al. is extended to the corresponding Minkowski metric for measuring distances. Under Minkowski metric the feature weights become intuitively appealing feature rescaling factors in a conventional K-M...
INTRODUCTION: Diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) provides a non-invasive method for in vivo evaluation of tissue water mobility. Most DWI studies employ single-shot EPI techniques which can suffer severe artifacts and image distortion in some applications. Multi-shot FSE-based DW-PROPELLER (1) and Turboprop (2) have shown to overcome these limitations. However, the scan time is usually longer to achi...
This dissertation deals with the problem of characterizing the controllers which are potentially optimal in the robustness optimization for (weighted) normalized coprime factor/gap metric uncertainty, which is the basis for the H1 Loop Shaping Design Method. This dissertation considers single-input-single-output systems. Given a plant P and a stabilizing controller C, we ask if C can be obtaine...
In the first part of this investigation, [1], we generalized a weighted distance function of [2] and found necessary and sufficient conditions for it being a metric. In this paper some properties of this so–called M–relative metric are established. Specifically, isometries, quasiconvexity and local convexity results are derived. We also illustrate connections between our approach and generaliza...
