The polynomial interpolation in one dimensional space R is an important method to approximate the functions. The Lagrange and Newton methods are two well known types of interpolations. In this work, we describe the semi inherited interpolation for approximating the values of a function. In this case, the interpolation matrix has the semi inherited LU factorization.

Two polynomial expansions of the time-evolution superoperator to directly integrate Markovian Liouville-von Neumann (LvN) equations for quantum open systems, namely the Newton interpolation and the Faber approximation, are presented and critically compared. Details on the numerical implementation including error control, and on the performance of either method are given. In a rst physical appli...

In families of polynomial functions one may encounter “singularity exchange at infinity” when singular points escape from the space and produce “virtual” singularities of the limit polynomial, which have themselves an influence on the topology. The total quantity of singularity involved in this phenomenon may not be conserved. Inspite of the fact that some of the ingredients do not behave well ...

DEMiCs is a software package written in C++ for computing the mixed volume of the Newton polytopes of a general semi-mixed polynomial system through dynamic enumeration of all mixed cells. The underlying mixed cells play an essential role for computing all isolated zeros of a polynomial system by polyhedral homotopy continuation method. A notable feature of DEMiCs is in the construction of a dy...
