A case of sclerosing stromal tumor of the ovary in a 16-year-old girl is described. The lesion had the characteristic mixed pseudolobular pattern with cellular areas separated by edematous stroma. A prominent, additional feature was the presence of partially or completely obstructed vessels at the hilus. It is proposed that these vascular changes may be the cause of the edema in the tumor.
