febrile convulsion (fc) is the most common seizure disorder in young children. different predisposing factors have been suggested to enhance the susceptibility to febrile seizure and its recurrence. the main objective of this study was to identify the adverse effect of electrolytes disturbance in fc and its recur-rence. the medical records of 175 children with convulsive disorders were reviewed...

one of the unusual variant of ovarian tumor is sex cord stromal tumor with annular tubules (sctat). the recurrence in case of malignant ovarian sctat ranges from 3mo to 20yr. this report describes the case of recurrence of sctat in a 35yr old woman after 4yr of hysterectomy with bilateral salphingo-oopherectomy. microscopic examination revealed features of sctat. because of its unusual behavior...

Background and Aim: Carcinoma of the uterine cervix is a significant cause of mortality because of malignancy in women. Radiotherapy is a major treatment modality for invasive cervical cancer with good treatment outcome in early-stage patients. However, substantial treatment failures still occur in the advanced-stage patients. In this case report a long term follow up of a 58 years old woman wi...

Quantitative recurrence indicators are defined by measuring the first entrance time of the orbit of a point x in a decreasing sequence of neighborhoods of another point y. It is proved that these recurrence indicators are a.e. greater or equal to the local dimension at y, then these recurrence indicators can be used to have a numerical upper bound on the local dimension of an invariant measure.

In this paper, we define a new kind of the hypergeometric function, say, Hermite-Tricomi functions. An explicit representation, recurrence relations for the Hermite-Tricomi functions are given and differential equations satisfied them is presented. A new expansions of the exponential for a wide class of functions, whose properties, including recurrences, addition theorems, generating functions ...

Statistics of Poincaré recurrence for a class of circle maps, including sub-critical, critical, and super-critical cases, are studied. It is shown how the topological differences in the various types of the dynamics are manifested in the statistics of the return times.

We consider the problem of counting the occurrences of patterns of the form xy-z within flattened permutations of a given length. Using symmetric functions, we find recurrence relations satisfied by the distributions on Sn for the patterns 12-3, 21-3, 23-1 and 32-1, and develop a unified approach to obtain explicit formulas. By these recurrences, we are able to determine simple closed form expr...

An (infinite) sequence is a function from the set IN = {0, 1, 2, . . .} of natural numbers to some set S. If a : IN → S is a sequence, we often denote a(n) by an. The values a0, a1, a2, . . . are called the elements or terms of the sequence. A recurrence relation is a way of defining a sequence. A few of the first elements of the sequence are given explicitly. Then, the recurrence relation give...

calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor (ceot) is an uncommon odontogenic tumor with well-known histopathological features and a challenging treatment plan. although some investigators advocate conservative approach as the treatment of choice, others believe in radical surgical excision to avoid recurrence or malignant transformation. the main objective of this case report is presenting an unus...

context hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc) is a fatal disease. chronic hepatitis b virus (hbv) and/or hepatitis c virus (hcv) infection is the major cause of hcc. high viral replication rate and related hepatic/systematic inflammation are the major risk factors in hcc recurrence after hepatectomy or liver transplantation. evidence acquisition some of the carcinogenesis-related hbv mutations are als...
