Retroperitoneal cysts are not common. Primary retroperitoneal cysts are essentially benign in nature. Mostly, they are detected incidentally. At times, they may attain a huge size and may present with large abdominal lump. In our case, a 55-year-old man had a left-sided large idiopathic retroperitoneal cyst, for which complete curative excision was performed.

We describe a rare case of a primary retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma that was found accidentally during preoperative examinations conducted due to a suspicion of ovarian cancer. Computerized tomography was not able to differentiate the retroperitoneal mass from an adrenal tumor. We diagnosed the retroperitoneal tumor by means of selective adrenal angiography.

A case of primary carcinoma of the urinary bladder associated with a primary retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma is presented. Due to the lack of early symptoms, diagnosis of the retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma was late and therefore the prognosis was poor.
