A case of intracranial ganglioneuroma arising from the trigeminal nerve in the pontine and cerebellopontine angle cistern, in a 44-year-old female, is presented with an emphasis on diffusion-weighted imaging findings. We will discuss on how the tumor in the very unusual location should be differentiated particularly focused on diffusion-weighted imaging findings.
A case of neurenteric cyst at CP Angle discussed. Only few intracranial neurenteric cyst have been reported. Around 60 cases were reported. Most of the intracranial lesions were in the posterior fossa. Around twenty cases of Neurenteric cysts in the CP angle were reported. The present case is a neurenteric cyst in the CP angle belongs to Odom’s group A lined by single layer of columnar cell wit...
The anatomical findings in 52 patients undergoing posterior fossa exploration for idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia are described. Anatomical abnormalities in the cerebello-pontine angle were found in 46. The commonest was an arterial loop indenting or distorting the nerve at the root entry zone. In view of this the operative procedure has been changed from root section to microvascular decompres...
In the title compound, [Fe(C(15)H(14)O(4))], the two cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) rings are nearly parallel, making a dihedral angle of 2.6 (1)°. The distance between the centroids of the Cp rings is 3.309 (8) Å. The relative orientation of the two Cp rings is characterized by a torsion angle of -43.99 (6)° defined by the two centroids and the two substituted C atoms.
Cerebral localization of the larval form of Echinococcus granulosus is a rare occurrence (1-4% of cases of hydatidosis) [1 ] , and usually produces solitary large unilocular (hydatid) cysts located in the supratentorial compartment [2-4]. We report the plain and contrast-enhanced MR appearance of a histologically proved pontine hydatid cyst that was adjacent to a multicystic acoustic neurinoma ...
In the title compound, [Fe(C(23)H(23)NO(4))], the two cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) rings are nearly parallel, with a dihedral angle of 2.1 (1)°. The distance between the centroids of the Cp rings is 3.277 (8) Å. The relative orientation of the two Cp rings is characterized by a torsion angle of -64.3 (3)° defined by the two centroids and two substituted atoms.
Background & Importance: Primary hemifacial spasm is usually caused by microvascular compression of the facial nerve at its root exit zone at brainstem without any space-occupying pathology. Secondary or so-called symptomatic hemifacial spasm has an additional underlying pathology e.g. tumors leading to the microvascular compression. We review and discuss the pathophysiology and the literature ...
