an important property of electromagnetic fields, which arises from the interaction between fields and chiral molecules, is called optical chirality. by enhancing this field property, while maintaining constant input power, we are able to increase absorption of circularly polarized light by chiral molecules of a certain handedness. this enhancement is achieved through the use of achiral plasmoni...

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has demonstrated single-molecule sensitivity and is becoming intensively investigated due to its significant potential in chemical and biomedical applications. SERS sensing is highly dependent on the substrate, where excitation of the localized surface plasmons (LSPs) enhances the Raman scattering signals of proximate analyte molecules. This paper review...

The combination of trimesic acid and the tri-dentate linker 1,3,5-tri(4-pyridyl)-2,4,6-triazine leads to the assembly of a bilayer structure, which contains four pyrene molecules per cavity; adjacent tetrameric aggregates within the channels formed by the superimposed layers combine to yield pyrene nano-rods.

Nano-particle hydroxyapatite (HA) rods, were rapidly synthesised using a three pump continuous hydrothermal process (using a water feed at up to 400 degrees C and at 24 MPa): the product was obtained as a highly crystalline and phase pure material, without the need for an ageing step or subsequent heat treatment.

A feasible "NOSE" (nanoparticles-catalyzed organic synthesis enhancement) protocol has been developed for N,N-diformylation of bisuracil derivatives using nano-Al2O3 rods as an efficient, inexpensive, and recyclable catalyst under solvent-free reaction condition at 40°C. The catalyst was reused up to the 4th cycle without affecting the rate and yield of the N,N-diformylation products appreciably.

We investigate the effect of synthesized time on the structure, as well as optical properties in ZnWO4 nano rod prepared by hydrothermal method. The prepared rods were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman scattering, absorption and photoluminescent (PL) spectra techniques. The size and morphology of ZnWO4 nano-rod can be controlled by adjusting the...
