A moving-object invariant video mosaicing technique applicable to the detection and monitoring activity over a wide area using an active camera has been proposed. There has been a large literature on image mosaicing, however, many of these algorithms focus on the static scene mosaicing using homography among the frames. There has also been recent work on activity monitoring and detection. Such ...
The introduction of 2D array ultrasound transducers enables the instantaneous acquisition of ultrasound volumes in the clinical practice. The next step coming along is the combination of several scans to create compounded volumes that provide an extended field-of-view, so called mosaics. The correct alignment of multiple images, which is a complex task, forms the basis of mosaicing. Especially ...
In the early phase of the Pleiades program, the CNES (the French Space Agency) specified and developed a fully automatic mosaicing processing unit, in order to generate satellite image mosaics under operational conditions. This tool can automatically put each input image in a common geometry, homogenize the radiometry, and generate orthomosaics using stitching lines. As the image quality commis...

It is used for different kinds of images like panaromic ,homographic ,satellite and microscopic images .In this paper, we proposed and implemented a Grid based approach for image mosaicing which not only includes more features but also improves accuracy over previous methods .Previous...
Image Mosaicing is a method of assembling multiple overlapping images of the same scene into a larger image. The output of the image mosaic will be the union of two input images. Image-mosaicing algorithms are used for obtaining a mosaiced image. There are five steps used in image mosaicing which includes; Feature extraction, Image registration, Computing homography, Warping and Blending. Featu...
There are situations where it is not possible to capture larger views with the given imaging media such as still cameras or video recording machines in a single stretch because of their inherent limitations. So to avoid such conditions a term Image Mosaicing comes into play. This Paper presents a complete system for mosaicing a group of still images with some amount of overlapping between every...
We are currently developing a vision-based system aiming at automatically generating in situ ultra-high resolution mosaics in previously unknown, complex and unstructured underground environments. Nowadays, image stitching algorithms present several limitations when dealing with unstructured environments. The most important to our concern is the ability to deal with feature-less areas. In this ...
Mosaicing and super resolution are two ways to combine information from multiple frames in video sequences. Mosaicing displays the information of multiple frames in a single panoramic image. Super-resolution uses regions which appear in multiple frames to improve resolution and reduce noise. Simple combination of the two methods is problematic since the alignment used for mosaicing may not be a...
Optimal image mosaicing has large computational complexity, that becomes prohibitive as the number of sub-images increases. Two methods are proposed, which require less computation time by performing mosaicing in pairs of two sub-images at a time, without significant reconstruction losses, as evidenced by simulation results.
