The effects of wood ash fertilization on soil chemical properties were studied in three young Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) plantations and a Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) plantation with different site fertility in southern Finland. The dose of 3 t ha–1 of loose wood ash was applied to 4 replicate plots (25 × 25 m) at each experiment. Humus layer and mineral soil samples were take...

We evaluated the effects of mineral and organic fertilizers on peach root dynamics in the growing season from 2003 to 2006 in a nectarine (Prunus persica L.) orchard, planted in 2001 and located in the Po valley, northeastern Italy. Very few studies have conducted long-term investigations of root dynamics of fruit crops. Our main objective was to determine whether organic fertilizers affect roo...

The present study aimed to investigate the combined effect of four irrigation regimes with six rates of mineral nitrogen fertilizer on productivity of inoculated and uninculated wheat grains, with bioN fertilizer Cerealin in sandy soil. Two field experiments conducted at the Experimental Station Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Damanhour University, El-Bostan Region, ElBehera Governorate, Egypt, d...

Background: In vitro maturation and fertilization are techniques to increase efficiency of mammals reproduction. However, in vitro culture conditions exert an imbalance between oxidants and antioxidants which may reduce live birth and pregnancy rates when compare to in vivo conditions. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted as a part of the ovine IVF program organized by Univers...

Mineral nitrogen (N) fertilization in cereals is commonly split into three or four applications. In order to simplify N fertilization, a single N application either broadcast or placed on the soil surface was compared to conventionally split fertilization for winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The 4-year experiment (2007-2010) was performed using a participatory approach on farmers' fields on...

Abstract Aim Soil fauna, a functionally important group of soil organisms, are greatly affected by fertilization. However, it is still debated whether and how fertilization affects the faunal community. Here, we aimed to synthesize global patterns fauna communities in response terrestrial ecosystems. Location Global. Time period 1997–2021. Major taxa studied fauna. Methods We examined effects o...

Abstract Organic waste poses a threat to the environment in event of its repeated use; however, this study, we converted it into useful and environmentally safe source fertilization. In addition fertilization ability, exhibited good ability reduce water stress cultivated plants area which irrigation is lacking are suffering impact climate change. Two field experiments were conducted during 2019...

To understand the fine-scale effects of changes in nutrient availability on eukaryotic soil microorganisms communities, a multiple barcoding approach was used to analyse soil samples from four different treatments in a long-term fertilization experiment. We performed PCR amplification on soil DNA with primer pairs specifically targeting the 18S rRNA genes of all eukaryotes and three protist gro...

Pseudomonas simiae 2-36, isolated from a field plot under long-term mineral fertilization, exhibited strong in vitro antagonistic activities against Rhizoctonia solani and Gaeumannomyces graminis. We report here the draft genome sequence of Pseudomonas simiae 2-36, consisting of 6.4 Mbp with a 60.25% G+C content and 5,790 predicted protein-coding sequences.
