X-ray analysis demonstrated that the intramolecular hydrogen bonding induced the amino group toward the inner space of the cavity. The kinetic studies and molecular modelings revealed that the hydrogen bonding also contributed to the acceleration of the aminolysis through stabilizing the intermediate.
