Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) and Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) are two analytic methods to solve the linear and nonlinear equations which can be used to obtain the numerical solution. This paper presents the application of the HAM to Fredholm and Volterra integral equations. The HAM contains the auxiliary parameter ~, that provides a powerful tool to analyze strongly linear and nonlinear...
In this paper, Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) has been applied to investigate the effect of magnetic field on Cu-water nanofluid flow in non-parallel walls. The validity of HPM solutions were verified by comparing with numerical results obtained using a fourth order Runge–Kutta method. Effects of active parameters on flow have been presented graphically. The results show that velocity i...
In the paper, we discuss applications of Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) related to wave equations subjected non-local conditions and method is applied two test problems in paper. The was introduced by J.-H. He (Homotopy perturbation technique, Computer Methods Applied Mechanics Engineering 178(3-4) (1999), 257 – 262) solutions are matched against exact as literature. results indicate that H...
In this paper, an analytical approximation to the solution of higher order Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations has been studied. The Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) introduced by He is employed to drive this analytical solution and the results will be compared with those of the Adomian decomposition method. Numerical results reveal that the HPM provides highly accurate numerical solutions for ...
Nonlinear partial differential equations are useful in describing the various phenomena in disciplines. The Homotopy perturbation method, first proposed by He in 1998, was developed and improved by He [5, 6, 7, 8]. Homotopy perturbation method [4] is a novel and effective method, and can solve various nonlinear equations. This method has been successfully applied to solve many types of nonlinea...
This article proposes Laplace Transform Homotopy Perturbation Method (LT-HPM) to find an approximate solution for the problem of an axisymmetric Newtonian fluid squeezed between two large parallel plates. After comparing figures between approximate and exact solutions, we will see that the proposed solutions besides of handy, are highly accurate and therefore LT-HPM is extremely efficient.
In this paper, we apply the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for solving the Cauchy problems of the first-order partial differential equation. We obtain the exact solutions to the homogeneous or inhomogeneous linear and nonlinear equations. Numerical results are presented to confirm the efficiency of the HPM. in the present work, a hybrid of fourier transform and homotopy perturbation method is developed for solving the non-homogeneous partial differential equations with variable coefficients. the fourier transform is employed with combination of homotopy perturbation method (hpm), the so called fourier transform homotopy perturbation method (fthpm) to solve the partial differential equations. the c...
In this paper, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is applied to obtain an approximate solution of the fractional Bratu-type equations. The convergence of the method is also studied. The fractional derivatives are described in the modied Riemann-Liouville sense. The results show that the proposed method is very ecient and convenient and can readily be applied to a large class of fractional p...
In this note, convex Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is presented for the approximate solution of the linear Fredholm-Volterra integral and integro-differential equation. Convergence and rate of convergence of the HPM are proved for both equations. Five numerical examples are provided to verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed method. Example reveals that HPM is very accurate and si...
