The anthelmintic activity of the eugenol against the fish parasite Gyrodactylus sp. was evaluated. After 1-h exposure to 5 and 10 mg/L eugenol, mortality of the parasites was near 80 and 90%, respectively. Gyrodactylus latus Bychowsky, 1933 (Monogenea, Gyrodactylidae) was found on fins of Cobitis elongatoides Bacescu et Maier, 1969 (Teleostei, Cobitidae) from tributaries of the Stobrawa River (Odra Basin, Silesia, Poland).
